Meow. Hairball.

So, I chopped some of my hair off the other day.
Was rather liberating. Even though it doesn’t look so different.
I cut off quite a bit, my hair was rather long but because I have curly hair no one really noticed.

I decided to get rid of the dreadlock in my hair too. The one spastic dread that was never really able to fit in with the rest of my locks. I had a love/hate relationship with Mr. Dread, but his expiry date had come and it was time. I made a rather uninteresting [sped up] video of Dreadies unbrushing. The song really says it all; he was a son of a b*tch to unknot, but a loved one at that.

When your hand becomes the victim of an uninspired writing pen.

My hand has become the victim of my procrastination.
When you can’t get pen on paper with that essay, just write on something else.
I should think of this as a day wasted, but I rate I’ve managed to get a lot done...on my skin :D.

This Graffiti is fleeting human contact

"The street artist depicts this the only way he knows how
He shows the city as no one knows
The festivals, the lights, the cultural shows
The diversity, the love, the mixing bowl
The love of his city as a whole
The piece of his heart, the art of his soul
We follow the artist back to the brick
Where he tells the story of him and this chick
The nighttime life that she didn't know
Where the artist put on his art show
The street he loves
The city he craves
Tells the artist that is unknown
This is the life
This the art
Through the graffiti
This is his heart"- Javairia Henry

Community Engagement Week- I love booger babies :D

Today I went with a friend of mine to this place called Nompumelelo pre school. We get there and were completely bombarded with love by little people. I've never recieved so many hugs in my life in one moment. My friend doesnt really like kids (so she say's) and ran away. Eejit. Anyway, we're then told that we're not staying at the creche and are being sent to The Monument for a little outing. Ummm. I was fine with this, however...the only means of getting there was to squash into one of the two (extremely rusty looking) taxis. I oath there were fourty kids in one taxi. Ok, maybe not that many but they were ready for a paaartaay!

We get to Monument and start the little jol by getting free cake!! They were the sizes of the children themselves. Once the little monsters were hyperactive and having the most amazing sugar rushes of their lives, we got to the game playing. Sigh. I wish I was 5 again, I don't even know how they were capable to move so much!

I'm too exhausted to say any more. Enjoy the pictures.
